Education Projects
Design Thinking in the Classroom
In my classes, I teach students to use design thinking to solve real world problems. Whether we are helping a community recover from a a natural disaster or building assistive technology, we always center our design around users and research covering anything we may need to know to solve the problem. Once we have build knowledge, we move on to ideating, designing our solution, and then building it.

The following projects are examples of two projects that demonstrate the use of design thinking in the classroom.
Recovery from a Natural Disaster Project
In this problem based learning project, students use design thinking to help a community recover and rebuild after a natural disaster
Students Helping Students: Assistive Technology Project
In this problem based learning project, students create assistive technology for a real customer.
